The main focus of the NRA Basic courses is to help the student develop the knowledge, skills and attitude to safely and effectively handle and fire a shotgun. The class begins discussing fire safety and then progresses into covering:
- shotgun and action types
- ammunitions selection
- shooting fundamentals
Once the classroom topics are presented, students proceed to the shooting range where they have the opportunity to shoot their firearm under the tutelage of their instructor.
All NRA course instructors are certified through a rigorous training program to ensure the student obtains the best firearm training offered by the NRA.
Students receive a 150 page NRA manual, a safety rules pamphlet, a Winchester/NRA Marksmanship book and a course completion certificate.
