NRA - Personal Protection Outside the Home - Instructor Class

Pre-requisites:

NRA - Basic Instructor Training Course

NRA - Personal Protection Outside the Home - Student Class

This is a two (2) day advanced defensive shooting NRA course which requires that you are an NRA Certified Basic Handgun Instructor and an NRA Certified Personal Protection in the Home Instructor. Proof of these two certifications will be required when you apply for this class. You are also required to take the student class for Personal Protection Outside the Home before taking this class. The subjects that are covered are:

1. You will learn the proper method of presenting the pistol from concealment.

2. The range drills cover the basic aspects of performing defensive tactics when facing a deadly encounter in the outside environment. These include use of high and low cover, one handed shooting, shooting and moving, pivotal shooting, extended range shooting and low light shooting.

3. Other aspects of defensive shooting will be covered.

4. Items you will need to bring to the class each day are a handgun, a strong side hip holster and belt, eye and ear protection, 200 rounds of ammunition and lunch.
